  9. Hi, is the RNS510
Good? Can it play MTV song via the 30GB storage ? Or movie? Thank you

    1. My comments for the RNS510, hmm... here it goes.

      1. Wasn't as fantastic as those aftermarket head unit like Pioneeer/Alpine
      2. Display resolution a bit clipped off (something like viewing a 620 x 460 video on a 640 x 480 resolution) - I forgot what's the resolution of the RNS, just giving an example.
      3. Can only play Video via a disc, so, even u got storage of 30/40GB, only songs (& navigation systems maps & files) can be played.
      4. MP3 can also be play via an SD card, but sometimes the system rejects the SD card (maybe its due to my set?).
      5. Sometimes, the system auto reset by itself (again, could be due to my set).

Having said that, I prefer to have a "clean & integrated" system for my Jetta, thus I decide to use RNS510. All buttons on the steering car can control the RNS510 and also the MFD display on the instrumental cluster are working. At the same time, the climatic control air conditioning will be displayed on the RNS510 too. Of cos, those "mod" stuff i intalled like reverse camera, fiscon pro bluetooth are all there.

That's about all I can remember now... oh ya, not to mention the navigational system all integrated (however map updates are not so frequent as compared to 3rd party gps system.

If i can remember more, i let u know.

      hope that helps.

      cheers
